Biography 

Amy Macpherson is a Certified Geographic Information Systems Professional (GISP). She serves as the Data Manager and Analyst for the Scenarios Network for Arctic + Alaska Planning and AK CASC; assisting with metadata creation and maintenance and in keeping data organized and accessible for all users.


After obtaining her MSc in Geography at the Mid-America Remote Sensing Center at Murray State University she employed her GIS and data management skills in Kentucky, Singapore and now Alaska; where she has lived for the last 6 years. She previously worked as the Senior GIS Analyst for an Alaskan utility cooperative and for the Alaska Earthquake Center, modeling pedestrian evacuation from tsunami inundation. She has worked in the public, private and academic spheres, all around the world and enjoys collaborating with others to successfully manage and complete projects. When not in the office, you can probably find her outside enjoying Alaska.
