Before her position as the AK CASC Program Coordinator, Jane Wolken was a postdoctoral research fellow with the Scenarios Network for Alaska and Arctic Planning. Her research experience in the boreal forest is multidisciplinary in nature (e.g., forest biology, ecology and pathology, dendrochronology, silviculture and tree physiology). Jane’s current research focuses on the effect of climate change on Alaska’s forests.

Originally from Canada, Jane received her HBSc (2000) in Forestry from Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, Ontario, and MSc (2002) and PhD (2008) in Forest Biology and Management from the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Alberta.
